The Gulau family
In July 2022, Stephanie Gulau was in a car accident while pregnant. Her son, Chance, was born six weeks early.
He spent several weeks in the NICU at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital — the weeks that every NICU parent knows: the monitors, the tiny gowns, the drive home to an empty nursery, the drive back at 6 a.m.
Chance came home healthy. So did Stephanie. And the Gulau family came home with a debt they decided to spend the rest of their lives repaying.
The first Birdies Fore Babies was in 2023. In 2024 it raised $24,377. It has grown every year since, and in 2026 it is bigger than it has ever been.

What started as one family's gratitude for the extraordinary care received in the NICU has grown into a community united by compassion, generosity, and hope. Every swing, sponsorship, and donation helps support OhioHealth's Riverside Women & Newborn Center, ensuring the tiniest patients and their families receive the care they need when they need it most. Together, we're doing more than playing golf — we're creating brighter beginnings for babies across Central Ohio.
